Our KitchenAid Mixer Repair Process - Disassemble, Clean, Rebuild
Step 1
Disassemble
The first step in our process required that we take apart the mixer in order to remove all of the grease and then remove each and every part. It is important to do this carefully and methodically, as some of the parts such as the snap rings and the pins are rather small and can easily be lost. The KitchenAid mixer will not function properly if any of these parts are missing.
Step 2
Clean
In ordered to properly inspect each part inside of the mixer, we need get each part super clean. This requires first removing the old low quality grease with a spoon, then paper towels, then pointy little cotton swabs and finally a tooth brush. The reason we spend so much time cleaning the old grease is because we do not want to contaminate the high quality super lube with either the old grease or the metal debris that is trapped inside of the old grease.
Step 3
Rebuild
Once all the worn out and defective parts have been replaced, it is time to put everything back together and fill with Super Lube. Super Lube is a patented synthetic NLGI grade 2 heavy-duty, multipurpose lubricant which is resistant to wear and corrosion. It is a heavy-duty, multipurpose lubricant that is Dielectric, Food Grade, NSF Rating H-1, safe for incidental food contact.

Here at Repair Center we primarily repair laptop computers, iPhones and other modern electronics, but we would much rather be working on Kitcheaid Mixers! Servicing KitchenAid Mixers is a lovely change of pace because the parts are readily available parts and the parts are large and easy work with. Most laptops parts are difficult to source and iPhone parts are very small. Computers and iPhones also contain circuit boards that are difficult to diagnose. Kitchenaid Mixers have none of these challanges! Kitchenaid Mixers have readily available parts, and all the gears and screws are a nice size. Even thought it is a time consuming job and very messy, the very high success rate makes it worth it for us. It is also a pretty fun job because there are no software, data or passwords to worry about! Overall, it is a satisfying job that makes it worth it to us.
